Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club (HGCC), founded in 1917, is one of the areas oldest private clubs.  It is a challenging Par 71 course with meticulously maintained Tifeagle Bermuda greens and Bermuda fairways. HGCC golf course is one of the top courses in the region and is noted for accessibility, no tee time requirement and a round in less than three and a half hours, even on weekends.

2020 Kentucky PGA Teacher of the Year Mitchell brings a passion for golf that began at a young age. After a successful high school career, Mitchell continued his golfing career by playing college golf for Murray State University where he won the 2007 TSU Intercollegiate and was names 2009 All OVC Team. Mitchell pursued professional golf after graduating with a Marketing Degree. After playing 2 years of mini tours, Mitchell started his Golf Professional career by becoming the Assistant Golf Professional at The Links at Novadell. After only one year as Assistant Golf Professional, Mitchell stepped out on his own to become a Full Time Teaching Professional while earning his PGA Class A and developing his own Teaching Academy. Mitchell is now located at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club where his operates his own Teaching Facility and giving over 1,000 lessons per year. Mitchell also Co-Hosted the 2020 KY PGA Teaching Coaching Summit. TIP OF THE WEEK
