Tucked away in the quiet village of Foxfire, North Carolina, Foxfire Golf & Country Club features 36 holes of championship golf in the form of two beautiful courses: the Grey Fox Course and the Red Fox Course. Both layouts were designed by famed architect Gene Hamm, who constructed each course to take advantage of the land’s rolling hills, soft sandy soils and plentiful lakes.
Membership at Foxfire doubles as a membership at the Country Club of Whispering Pines, a quick 20 minutes away. Combined, both courses offer four gorgeous 18-hole golf courses — providing the most comprehensive golf membership in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina.

The Red Fox Course
The Red Fox Course is the member’s favorite. This Pinehurst golf course offers wide manicured fairways and large elevated fast rolling greens. Water comes into play on 6 holes requiring forced carries from the back tees but with the option of going around the hazards from the forward tees. Fairway bunkers are strategically placed to grab the wayward shot and there is no lack of sand guarding the greens.
This beautiful Gene Hamm design offers plenty of “bail out” places to avoid the most severe drop offs and deep faced bunkers.
