She played Division 1 collegiate golf at Ohio University before moving to Charlotte. She and her husband, Erik, have a daughter, Kenzie and live in the Lake Norman area. Julee’s Teaching Philosophy: Golf is not played on the range but a solid golf swing has to be born on the range. Every student has to work towards the most efficient swing that he/she has the potential to create. Through drills, video analysis, strength or flexibility exercises, and more, each student can maximize his/her potential towards an efficient swing. Next, students need to learn how to play golf. They achieve goals by learning course management, club selection, shot selection, and understanding all the different areas of the game. Julee’s Teaching Style: Every student/golfer is different. Golfers learn different, swing different, think different, and act different. Julee really works with each student to make short term and long term goals so they can stay on track towards success as a team. Helping each student become aware of his/her strengths and weaknesses and developing a plan to achieve those goals is vital.

His ability to assess different habits and learning styles, allows him to make each lesson unique and appropriate for every individual. Erik’s Teaching Style: Erik works with many of his students first on the big picture. By getting his students to engage the larger, core muscles, Erik is able to help his students build a good foundation of both control and power. After this is achieved, Erik works individually with each student in all areas to fine tune the smaller details for better results. • Jimmy Shaw 379.1 miles

Jimmy Shaw is a golf professional who has studied and played the game of golf for over 30 years.  He has competed at all levels of the game:  Junior (Oklahoma Medalist for 1997 USGA Junior Championship played at Aronimink GC, Newtown Square, PA; High School (4-time All-Conference); Collegiate (Conference Freshman of the Year, 2-Time All-Conference, Team Captain); and Professional (competed on the NGA Hooters, eGolf, and Adams Tours; advanced to the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying). Jimmy has worked with some of the best instructors in the areas of Putting (Ian Baker-Finch), Golf Swing (Hank Haney; Jack Lumpkin); and Mental Game (Dr. Deborah Graham, GolfPsych).  Jimmy incorporates his many years of learning about and playing the game of golf into teaching each of his students. Jimmy does not teach the golf swing as an isolated activity but as part of the overall game.  His philosophy is that the body reacts on both a conscious and a subconscious level to perform each shot. Further, he does not believe in teaching a single system for each student, because not everyone has the same experiences that have led them to this point in their enjoyment of the challenge of the game of golf, nor does each person have the same physical and mental attributes. While there are certain aspects of the swing that may be important for a player to perform in order to be more consistent when playing the game, performance depends on each individual’s skeleton function and muscular development. Jimmy learned a great deal about these key components while becoming certified as a personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise, a leader in personal trainer certifications, and his years of working as a personal trainer, during which he trained golfers who played at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels.   Understanding each person’s physical abilities allows Jimmy to tailor his teaching accordingly, and to suggest exercise routines to help his students develop physically so that they are able to play their best golf.

  • Glen Davis 385.9 miles

Having studied directly with legendary coaches like Jimmy Ballard, John Redmond, and Harry Cooper, Mr. Glen Davis brings over 40 years of teaching experience to each and every lesson he gives!   His Myrtle Beach golf school has been in operation since 1988, and has attracted students of every ability from all over the country, including prominent professionals. An accomplished player in his own right, Glen can boast 17 professional victories, was nominated to Golf Magazine’s top 100 list, and has been named Myrtle Beach Golf Magazines “Best on the Beach” instructor every year since 2003       “I had range session this morning that was unbelievable. Left shoulder down through impact was amazing ! Never hit it better ! Debbie shot 41 yesterday at Shaftesbury glen with 2 three puts! She hit it great!!! You rock man!!! Best money ever spent!!!!! — Rob Osborne (West Virginia) “I did one of your schools 2 years ago in April , I was a 14 handicap when I came to your school now I’m a 3 handicap , I shot 2 Rounds in the 60’s this year and also this past weekend I won the club championship at my golf course which is pretty awesome!! Honestly Glen i would not have achieved this if I didn’t go to your school , you completely changed my game in the past 2 years !! I want to write this on your website but I didn’t see where I could write a testimonial, I just wanna say thanks for passing your knowledge on to me . I have a couple buddies that are coming to myrtle beach this winter and after they seem the change in my game .. I told them about your school so they will be coming to see you for lessons — Greg Cole “Glen has the unique ability to spot the source of the problem right away, that’s a gift. — Gene Jones, Champions Tour, Earnings $2,374,000.00 “Sandy and I enjoyed your school very much. It’s clear you are a very experienced professional instructor. Your many teaching props were excellent, but the video taping was the best by far. I never imagined my swing was so far off the mark. Today I played my first 18 holes since the school in my Monday League. My partners were amazed at my new distance and consistency from the tee and fairway. Their estimate was that I added at least 30 yards off the tee! Sandy also has new improvements and added confidence to her game. Thank You Very Much! — Mike Mooney, Fenwich Island, DE “I have attended five of Glen’s schools over the past three years. I have gone from a 19 hdcp to a 3.2 and I am going lower. I am 55 and I am driving the ball 270 instead of 220. I have seen many teachers over the years. What Glen could do that the others couldn’t was give me a feel for the proper movements. He has more toys than my grandchildren. — Brian Williamson, Ontario, Canada “Sorry for the belated response, but I must reply. Since the lessons with you my handicap has dropped by ten shots from 26 to 16, but more importantly I am enjoying the game far more than I ever have. I hope to see you again. I wish you all the best in the future. — Robert Bland, England “We went to one of the big golf schools a few years ago. We learned more in three hours with Glen then we did at the other school in three days!!!!! — Michael & Carol Benrud, Altoona, Wis. “Ellyn and I have been putting your instructions and drills to good use since our school. Your ‘Keep it simple’ attitude has given Ellyn the confidence to get out and play with others. Thanks, see you next year. — Mac & Ellyn McMullen, Richmond, VA “Sorry I haven’t responded back to you sooner, but, I wanted to let you know how much my swing has improved since the instruction I received at your school when I was in Myrtle Beach the week of 9/20/09. I followed your advice and practiced the drills you taught me, through the winter, and they really made a difference when I finally got to play on the course. I’m driving the ball off the tee farther than I ever have before and putting a nice draw on it besides. I am also more consistent with hitting my irons too. But the biggest improvement I have made is being able to recognize what I am doing wrong when I hit a bad shot because of what you taught me about what contributed to my former slice and how to correct it. I really didn’t know what to expect when I registered for your classes because I never had lessons at a golf school before and wondered if it would make a difference or if I was wasting my time. I will tell you that it was one of the best investments I ever made. I appreciated being the only student in the class that I attended. I really benefited from the personal instruction I received from you, they were great “private” lessons and I enjoyed them greatly. You have a real gift in teaching others. When I come to Myrtle Beach again I will register with your school for more instruction to improve my game further. So, thank you for correcting my swing because the last time I played 18 it was fun instead of frustrating. I hope you are doing well. — Tim Schell, Coal Twp, Pa.

  • Colby Wollitz, PGA 432.2 miles

2021 Teacher of the Year – Kentucky PGA 2021-2022 Golf Digest Best Young Teachers in America When Colby began teaching in 2008, most of his students were asking for him to fix their swing so they could hit the ball farther and hit more greens. But he knew that wasn’t what they really wanted. What they really wanted was to shoot lower scores! As most pro’s know, the key to scoring well isn’t hitting the long ball. It’s learning the REAL game of golf with one simple idea…get the ball in the hole in less strokes than the other players. Colby took a group of players on the golf course, observed each player’s game, developed a specific improvement plan for them and taught them how to practice. The results were phenomenal! His players drop an average of 10 strokes in 12 weeks. As a result, Colby is now Ranked by Golf Digest as of one of the Best Young Teachers in America and rated as the Teacher of the Year in 2021 for the Kentucky PGA. PGA Professional 2016 Kentucky PGA Youth Player Development Award Recipient U.S. Open Local Qualifier Medalist Winner of multiple Sectional PGA events 2012 PGA Professional National Championship Participant Colby is a member of the PGA of America and is certified in Teaching and Coaching. Since turning professional, has won multiple Sectional PGA events, was medalist in a U.S. Open Local Qualifier, and competed in the 2012 PGA Professional National Championship. He believes that there is no perfect golf swing, only a series of acceptable positions that WILL change from player to player. Most of these positions are based on the students body type, and many swing flaws are caused by poor set-up. He also believes that a student must learn how to transfer what they practice to the golf course. He believes in establishing a consistent process/routine as well as a game plan based on a players dispersions and tendencies. Colby uses Trackman data from his players to create personalized course maps for them prior to tournament rounds. In 2016 and 2017 Colby was awarded the Kentucky PGA Youth Player Development Award.
